Correction: Don’t Save the Internet. It’s unnecessary.
I can’t believe I got so caught up in a massive fearmongering. I had this on my web-site until a few minutes ago.
The feeling of a need for network neutrality is actually kind of stupid. It cripples the internet’s potential for the future.
The fear of a non-neutral network comes from the idea that it’ll make certain sites too slow to use. The idea being that a competing site can pay to make another web-site too slow to use, forcing the consumer to use a competitor’s site. More likely, it’ll make one site super-goddamned fast so you’ll be likely to use the fast site.
Ultimately, this will make the internet better on average because some sites going faster than they would normally makes large parts of the internet faster.
I want a better internet. So, why not go forward with a non-neutral network. We don’t need a non-neutral network.
Also: I just put something new in the Software page. I’ts called Cave Story. You can get some info on it there. But here’s a link to the download right here:

Don’t forget that the one-and-only working web site will consist only of popstars/american-idol poor quality manufactured rubbish, and since it’s now a monopoly, the manufacturing won’t even be that good. Also, state propaganda, although you must be pretty used to that by now.
If you want to get a taste of what this would be like, consider the current clearchannel monopoly in the US. Every single radio station (except NPR) plays the same music. In fact, the average american radio listener could be forgiven for believing that hiphop/rnb and easy-listening were the only kinds of music that existed.
I don’t know why I’m bothering to type this here, since your post is the most asinine opinion I have yet encountered on this topic and I have little hope of encouraging you to actually think about the situation. You clearly applied intelligence neither when you put the banner up nor when you took it down.

Actually, the thing is that I don’t believe it’s going to use anything to stop people from going to the other part of the internet. What makes the internet awesome is that it has millions and millions of people who are eager to create content for it. It won’t take a point where it’s like the radio because there will always be a million bloggers posting their silly opinions. THere will always be hundreds of thousands of people posting Flash movies onto Newgrounds.
Yes, it will be easier to get to sites like the one you described but that doesn’t mean that the little site you love will be going down anytime soon. You’ll still be able to get to it.
They’re not going to demote service. That’s the thing that everyone thinks will happen, and acts like will happen, but it’s probably not what will happen. Your ominous prediction depends on the idea that the little guys will be shut out.
The reason you’re posting there is probably because you’re bored and you know me and figured you’d insult me. If you don’t know me in real life and you’re reading my blog then that’s awesome. I’ve said something stupid enough to attract commentators I don’t know.
I think you’re caught up in the fearmongering and I failed to properly articulate my idea in the previous post.
